Jose Reyes' 26-game hitting streak ended Thursday afternoon at the hands of R.A. Dickey and the Mets, in the Marlins 6-1 loss in New York.
Reyes' streak was tied for the second longest in franchise history. Emilio Bonifacio also strung 26 consecutive games with a hit last season. Luis Castillo has the franchise record with a 35-game hitting streak in 2002.
During the streak, Jose Reyes hit .365 and in August he was hitting .483 before Thursday's game.
