Dolphins get outgained, Rams get outscored

If you were to simply glance over the Team Stat Comparison of the Miami Dolphins vs. St. Louis Rams game, it would appear lopsided.

  • The Rams gained 270 more yards than the Fins (127 more passing yards and 143 more rushing yards).

  • Sam Bradford earned a Quarterback Rating (QBR) of  77.3, more than 16 points more than Tannehill earned (60.9).

  • Three Rams (Richardson, Jackson, Bradford) gained more yards on the ground than Reggie Bush, Miami's leading rusher.

Despite all that, the Rams couldn't cross the plane of the end zone until it was too late. Three missed field goals by the Rams aided the Dolphins to a 17-14 victory.
