On Wednesday night, the Miami Marlins open their new ballpark against the defending Champion, St. Louis Cardinals at 7:00 on ESPN.
In the past five seasons, the defending World Series Champion is 1-4 on Opening Day. When the St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series in 2006, they also lost their Opening Day game in 2007 6-1 against the New York Mets.
